Admissions Process Steps
From the Executive Director
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about The Spire School.
At Spire, we understand that every student’s story is unique. For some, school has been a place of growth and connection; for others, it has been filled with challenges that have affected confidence, engagement, or emotional well-being. Our goal is to meet students exactly where they are and help them rediscover stability, curiosity, and purpose; both in and beyond the classroom.
Spire has always been a place for bright, capable students who face emotional or mental health barriers that make learning in a traditional setting difficult. We’ve expanded that commitment through a more clinically integrated model—one that intentionally combines rigorous academics with embedded therapeutic support throughout the school day.
As both a clinician and educator, I believe lasting progress comes when academic and emotional goals are aligned. Our interdisciplinary team—teachers, counselors, and licensed clinicians—work closely together to help students strengthen resilience, executive functioning, and social-emotional awareness while pursuing their academic potential.
Our admissions process reflects this same philosophy. We take time to understand each student’s strengths, needs, and supports so that enrollment decisions are thoughtful and grounded in a true sense of fit. Whether you’re exploring Spire independently or throughyour school district, you’ll find a community dedicated to helping students learn and grow with care and intention.
We look forward to meeting you and learning your story.
Warm regards,
Tom
